Ray Kinney 

Owner/Broker

Ray is a certified general real estate appraiser and real estate broker. Originally from the Memphis area, he graduated from the University of Alabama  with a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate Finance. Ray also studied international business while living abroad in Florence, Italy, and traveling the continent of Australia. An avid duck hunter, he grew up hunting the fields and flooded timber of central Arkansas, as well as the Mississippi Delta Region. Ray also enjoys bow hunting, fishing, golf and spending time with his wife and children managing their property in Flora, MS.

As an appraiser Ray works with private landowners, conservation organizations, government agencies and corporate clients to overcome highly unique and complex valuation projects throughout the southeast. His experience with these special real estate assignements was his motivation for co-founding Barber & Kinney, LLC . As a real estate broker, licensed in Mississippi, Arkansas and Louisiana, Ray specializes in buyer’s representation, 1031 exchange, and general consulting for timberland, farmland, recreational, and environmentally sensitive property acquisition. Ray is also well versed in the field of mitigation banking and understands the characteristics and permitting required for the development of a successful restoration site. His experience in these multifaceted niche markets has prepared him to assist B&K's cliental with a level of service that is second to none.
